Driver Settings

The driver settings group contains the settings which are the same as described in the daemon manual.

Only the Lock-Dll behaves different: With the original daemon.exe you can select Lock DLL and then exit and restart the software. This works only with the daemon.exe that come with daemon tools. For this reason the Lock DLL option is automatically disabled at program exit.
To reenable it after a system restart select Autostart and AutoLock from the Application settings group.

!! During the settings dialog is opened the hotkey is disabled !!

You can change the user interface language of daemonui.
DaemonUI has to be restarted for the new language. You'll get asked for doing it.

Drive Letter mapping

Under Windows NT and Windows 2000 you have to tell the system which drive letters are assigned to the virtual cdrom drives.
As long as the Letters field is empty no drive letters are shown and the explore X: (from the context menu) is not available.
To automatically scan for the drive letters press the Auto-Button.

How the Auto-Button works:

1. All devices are unmounted
2. For each device one special image will be created and mounted (then wait 1sec)
3. Each CDROM drive is searched for a special file (the device number is stored within this file).
4. The device in the file is assigned to the current CDROM-letter
5. All devices are unmounted
6. The special images (each about 600K) are deleted.
